36 men and women participated in this study, where both s€xes took 350 calories divided into three groups. The first group ate oatmeal for breakfast, the second ate cornflakes and the third group drank only water for breakfast. During the next three hours, all participants measured their levels of satiety and gave bl*od samples, which was necessary to control the bl*od sugar and insulin in the bl*od. Lunch was the same for all the three groups.

Scientists have confirmed their forecast that participants who ate oatmeal, whose satiety levels were higher during the morning and evening, while they ate 31% fewer calories for lunch. Additionally, oats have a positive impact on people with an increase in weight, since they consume 50% less calories for lunch. People who ate cereals were hungry within the next three hours.

The same was with the third group who only drank water for breakfast. The participants in the second group consumed the same amount of calories as their friends from the first group, but they felt hungry three hours later anyway. The reason for this is that oatmeal remains in the stomach for a longer period of time, while corn flakes don’t have this feature and also increase the concentration of blood glucose.

These results are in sudden drop and are very quick. This is just one of the many investigations carried out. It is confirmed that oats are one of the most effective aliments when it comes to weight loss.
